EnglishTemporary residence card (TRC) is issued by the Immigration Department of Vietnam, permitting foreign citizens to temporarily reside and work in Vietnam for a period from 01 year to 03 years and a maximum of 5 years.
With a temporary residence card, foreign investors can enter and exit Vietnam multiple entries during the term of the temporary residence card without having to proceed with Vietnam visa extension.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR INVESTORS IN VIETNAM
• A written request from the inviting, sponsoring agency/organization or individual;
• Application form for temporary residence card for foreigners (Form NA8);
• Passports of foreigners applying for temporary residence cards;
• Business registration certificate, Investment license which clearly states the foreign investor's capital contribution (certified copy);
• A certificate of seal specimen registration or written notice of publication of information about the enterprise's seal specimen (certified copy);
• First registration of seal and signature specimens at the Immigration Authority (Form NA16);
• Official letter and application for temporary residence card for foreigners (Form NA6);
• Letter of introduction for Vietnamese employees to make procedures to apply for a temporary residence card at the Immigration Authority;
• A certificate of temporary residence registration or a foreigner's temporary residence registration book certified by the police of the ward or commune where the foreigner is temporarily residing in Vietnam (if any).
SERVICE ORDER OF APPLYING FOR TEMPORARY RESIDENCE CARD FOR FOREIGNERS WITH WORK PERMIT IN VIETNAM
Step 1: Prepare documents for application as prescribed by the law;
Step 2: Submit the application at the headquarters of the Immigration Department - Ministry of Public Security
After checking the documents (valid and complete), the receiving officer will hand over the receipt to the person submitting the application (Form NB7).
Step 3: Receive the results within 05 working days, investor comes to receive the results, give a receipt, ID card or passport to the officer who returns the results for inspection and comparison.
