How do foreign citizens traveling to mainland China and Hong Kong special zones and Macau have to apply for a visa?

After the Chinese visa is approved, can I apply to change or extend my visa?

The visa that has been issued cannot be changed nor renewed, nor is the fee refundable.

If the purpose - time of coming China changes, you must apply for a new visa.

If you have already entered China, you must go to the immigration department to apply for a change of visa type or to extend your stay. However, whether or not it is approved will be based on the regulations of this country

What is a visa-exempt residence document?

Foreigners with valid residence documents (usually affixed on passports) are allowed to reside and enter and exit China many times, no longer needing to apply for a visa.

Foreigners who hold a valid permanent residence card issued by the People's Republic of China are allowed to reside and enter China multiple times, no longer needing a visa.

How many times can I enter China on a multiple entry visa?

The Embassy does not limit the number of times you enter, but requires that the number of entries must be 30 days apart. Thus, if you have a 1-year multiple entry Chinese visa, you can only enter a maximum of 1 times.
