What I offer  Thirteen years experience in the field  Several hundred thousand words translated  Three language combinations (English, French, Spanish into Italian)  Specialization in Marketing (transcreation, localisation, copywriting), IT, Business/Financial, Tourism&Travel  Full proficiency with Trados Studio and Phrase  Fast, reliable, enthusiastic communication  Weekend and evening availability  Excellent references My most significant projects in the recent past • EN>IT transcreation project for a print manufacturing brand (selling printers and printing infrastructure): the project has spanned over a period of several years and is still ongoing (over 100.000 words); the material has been of a very wide range: devices technical specs, product launch campaigns, emails to sellers, safety and security implementation, third-parties assessments and reviews. • EN>IT translation of a business survey on the impact of new technology in the public sector: the project was commissioned by a tech brand and required the recreation of the technical vocabulary and tone into the receiving language. • FR>IT transcreation project for a brand manufacturing and selling chemical filtration devices and equipment: again, the project has been ongoing for a substantial amount of time, although in this case the translated website has already been published and can be visited at www.erlab.com/it/. • IT>EN localisation of the website of a company manufacturing and selling metal smallware and houseware: my work involved the recreation of the brand’s tone of voice and core message and its adaptation into the receiving language and culture, as well as the technical work necessary to create the new website (www.metaldecor.net). The project lasted several months and required regular liaising with the company’s CEO, the Marketing Director, and other department heads. • IT>EN translation of the full catalogue for Metaldecor Srl: the project consisted of the translation of the full range of products from the brand, was of substantial size (about 60.000 words), and of technical nature. Beyond the translation, I worked on the format and layout of the files (so as to deliver a complete package, that needed no additional work from the client), and on the search engine optimisation of the items listed. • FR>IT transcreation of the website and other promotional material for a luxury champagne brand: the project involved the recreation of an adequate tone of voice and promotional message for high-end customers. • EN>IT transcreation of marketing material (brochures, webpages, customer surveys and, more) for a luxury hotel brand: the project involved the cultural adaptation of said material into the receiving market. More about me I am in bilingual in English and Italian; I have read Spanish and French since I was a child; I have spent most of my adult life in the UK, where I completed my studies and started my career in languages and translation. I use English, Italian, Spanish and French at work simultaneously, every day. I hold Postgraduate specialisations in Web, Medical, Legal/Commercial and Social Science Translation, which I have studied at the Chartered Institute of Linguistics. I have established a great professional cooperation with Creative Culture, a translation agency based in London, working with them on a great number of projects and building real partnerships with many of their project managers. I will be happy to provide their contacts for references or reviews of my work. I am well-versed with most CAT tools. I regularly work with Trados Studio and MemSource (Phrase), which I have used extensively for several years and for both of which I own a personal licence. I possess the most refined communication skills, which translate into a very fast speed of response (on initial queries and more importantly on follow-ups), the capacity to address and solve problems without delay or complications, and a keen sense of urgency, which makes me willing to go the extra mile, for example by ensuring evening and weekend availability. My rates vary depending on the specific type of work required; here is a general reference: £0.08 p/w (transcreation/copywriting); £0.06 (translation); £0.04 (copy/editing); £0.03 (MTPE).
